StrongForce complete Structure on Serbia’s tallest skyscraper.

February, 2021

StrongForce have successfully completed the Post Tensioning works on Serbia’s tallest and most iconic skyscraper “Kula Belgrade”.

Standing at 168 metres tall, the 40-floor mixed-use tower is situated in a prime location at the bank of the Sava River, in the heart of the Belgrade Waterfront development where it is considered the beacon of the entire master-planned community. The development that boasts an observation deck at the top of the tower also includes a 190-room St. Regis hotel and 220 luxury serviced apartments.

StrongForce were contracted by Pizzarotti-Millennium to provide specialist post tension design and build services with works being complete February 2021 on the 31,564m2 structure which was constructed on a 7 to 8 day pour cycle.

The scope included the supply of the StrongForce Multi-Strand System that was implemented to the ground level for beams that formed part of a bridge connection to BW Galerija and at the transition zones on levels 12, 14 and 20 to accommodate the axial loads induced from the inclined columns that feature as major part of the buildings architectural design. The StrongForce Mono-Strand System was used on remaining Levels 03–11 and 18–39.

Having successfully completed such critical structural works on the project that many consider to be the benchmark for building structures within the region within two years of entering the region has ensured StrongForce are now well and truly regarded as an industry leader for post tension services in the Balkan region.
