PASI Development complete in 6 month program, Muscat.
February, 2014
Work is complete at the PASI (Public Authority for Social Insurance) Development in Muscat, Oman.
Originally specified as a traditional concrete frame, StrongForce were brought in by Main Contractors Carillion Alawi to provide a Post Tension design and build solution.
Covering a total built up area of 115,000m2 the Post Tension scope of 9 No Tower blocks consisting of 8 Levels per building were progressively completed during July to early August 2014 and within a 6 month program.
This was largely attributed to the conversion of a traditional beam framed floor plate to a PT flat plate design reducing each levels construction cycle. Substantial savings were also achieved through direct material costs by reducing concrete and steel reinforcement requirements.
