StrongForce signs agreement to construct Novotel Hotel & Hotel Apartments in Addis Ababa.

StrongForce have signed an agreement with Ethiopian developer ‘Emperium Real Estate’ and commenced the design and construction of the new ‘Novotel Hotel & Hotel Apartments’ in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Set for completion in Q3 of 2021, the Addis Ababa Novotel will feature 115 hotel rooms, 108 serviced apartments, two restaurants, a bar, ballroom, conference rooms and a leisure centre complete with spa, gym and swimming pool.

Aimed at both business travelers and tourists alike, the hotel is located in the central business district of Addis Ababa, just off the famous Churchill avenue and a 2 minute drive to the Ethiopian parliament building; the mixed use hotel development will also be within walking distance of the once notorious Menelik Palace Grounds which after over a century is now open to the Public, along with a soon to be opened ‘Unity Park’.

Post tension design and site works are underway on the on the 2,170 square metre plot. Once complete, the 22 level structure will consists of 2 Basements, Ground Floor, 2 Podiums then splitting into two 17 levels towers separating the hotel and serviced apartments comprising a total built up area of 24,600 square metres.

With the economy in Ethiopia stabilizing and economic growth forecast to continue in the second most populous nation in Africa, StrongForce view this as a strategic project to further develop its presence throughout the region.
